MINERAL WELLS, W.Va (WTAP): Baking contests, livestock shows, and carnival rides.
Those are just some of the activities you'll run into at the West Virginia Interstate Fair.
The annual fair kicked off Tuesday and goes until Saturday.
Some days offer discounts for different groups of people, including senior citizens Tuesday, kids Wednesday, and active duty military on Thursday.
Organizers of the fair say they pride themselves on having different activities for the whole family.
"We do something for the community to come out and do something different," said Angie Zoller, member of the West Virginia State Fair Board of Directors. "They do only have five days of the year that they can come out and enjoy the fair. And like I said we've got carnival rides, gamble amusements is here, so we enjoy something for the kids to do during the day and we try to promote something for everybody."
Tickets cost $9 Wednesday and Thursday, and $10 Friday and Saturday.
