Wood County Commission discussing dilapidated, abandoned properties

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va.-(WTAP) The Wood County Commission Thursday addressed three properties in a state of disrepair.

The three include a home on Hill Street, heavily damaged by fire a few years ago.

The others are located in Blennerhassett Heights and on Club Drive in Washington, West Virginia.

The commissioners plan to have an engineer inspect the three properties, and to recommend whether they should be condemned, at the least.

The Blennerhassett Heights home is in the hands of the heirs of its original property owner, who passed away several years ago.

Another abandoned/dilapidated property is to be discussed at Monday's commission meeting.
