Ogi is a k-9 of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and he will soon receive new gear thanks to a generous donation.

Vested Interest in K-9's, Inc., provide bullet and stab protective vests, along with other assistance to law enforcement dogs throughout the country.

Captain Robert Sims says a vest can range from$1500 to $2500 per K-9.

Captain Sims says, "The vest itself is like what I'm wearing now. It is a ballistic vest, but it also has the added benefit of being a spike stab resistance vest."

He says the goal is to provide these types of Vests to all of its k-9's in the future.
