Gene J. Criss, 76, of Vienna passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 1, 2018.

Gene was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Wirt County, W.Va.

He was the son of the late Arthur Bill and Henrietta Yaeger Criss.

He graduated from Cairo High School, served in the United States Army and retired from DuPont after 41 years of service.

Gene is survived by his wife, Elizabeth June Moss Criss; two sons, Eric (Jackie) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Bryan (Terri) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Tyler (Brittany,) Andrew and Daniel; three sisters, Sylvia Nelson (Harold), Dorothy Metz (Harold), and Phyllis Nutter; and one brother, Frank Criss.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his older brothers, Harold and George Cunningham.

Family and friends may gather at 9 A.M. Feb. 10 at the Leavitt Family Center where a memorial service officiated by Pastor Jim Yoak will be held at 10 A.M.
