On July 10, 2018, Heaven gained a new soprano. Adele Stanley McDougal, 84, passed away in the comforts of her own home surrounded with love.

Addie was born April 14, 1934 in Pullman, WV.

She attended Harrisville High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1951.

In 1952, she married Enos E. McDougal the love of her life who preceded her in death in September 1993.

Due to the void in her life after the death of her husband she became the bookkeeper at Garrett Construction for 8 years.

She is survived by her best friend and daughter, Mary Beth McDougal who resided with her; sister, Joan Robey of St. Marys; a very special sister-in-law, Eloise Stanley-Miracle and several nieces and nephews. She emotionally adopted two young men who were as close to her heart as her very own; Robert Perine and Roger Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John Stanley; and sister, Jean Stout. She was blessed with two wonderful caregivers; Diane Nichols and Donna Hodge.

She was a member of The Harrisville Baptist Church whom she loved with her whole heart. She held various offices within the church but was known to be the choir director for many years. She always held her church up in every aspect of her life. She looked so forward to the day that she would join that heavenly chorus and be able again to sing, “How Great Thou Art” at the feet of Jesus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at The Harrisville Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Perine and Pastor Mark Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at Raiguel Funeral home, Harrisville, on Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday, one hour prior to services at the church.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulloughRaiguel.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Helping Hands, c/o Harrisville Baptist Church, PO Box 193, Harrisville, WV 26362.
