DeLong signed his letter of intent to wrestle on the Division I level at West Virginia University.

DeLong has a strong resume to say the least. He is a four-time state champion, four-time Ohio Valley Athletic Conference champ and became an All-American at the NHSCA's Virginia Duals.

DeLong has a strong work ethic, and practiced that by playing football and baseball as well.

He intends to study exercise physiology and targets to wrestle in the 174-weight class in his freshman season.

"It just makes me proud because honestly, I come from a school that's for wresting and signing to wrestle, especially in my home state, it just feels pretty good," DeLong said at his signing ceremony.

"It felt like home and I mean it is home. Just to have the flying WVU across my chest these next few years is going to be great. Just to show my home state and represent it."
