NEW MATAMORAS, Ohio (WTAP)- Our honoree is Brent West from Frontier High School. Brent is a captain on the basketball and baseball teams.
He has battled back from Wolf Parkinon-White syndrome. Its a condition where there's an extra electrical pathway between the upper and lower chambers of the heart. After an ablation, he has made a full recovery and is 100 percent healthy.
On the diamond, he is a two-time Pioneer Valley Conference All-league player and won a sectional title with the Cougars.
He earns a 3.4 grade point average and plans to play baseball in college. His dream is to become a history teacher.
