It has $10,000 from the city of Parkersburg, and now, backers of a proposed baseball park are looking elsewhere for funding.
Cam Huffman, director of the Area Roundtable, says he's reached out to a couple of foundations to fund a feasibility study for the complex.
That was the subject of a series of public meetings last fall.
Backers are seeking a total of $25,000 for the study.
Huffman says he hasn't heard back from the people he's contacted.
The ballpark is a key in bringing a professional baseball team to the area.
Meanwhile, the Veterans Museum of the Mid-Ohio Valley hopes to have a new location someday.
It's raising money, with the goal of getting $200,000 for a new building.
The Wood County Commission Monday agreed to kick in $5,000, to match money put up by local attorney and museum supporter David Huffman.
Museum director Gary Farris says that, so far, there's $27,000 set aside for the purchase.
The museum moved to Seventh street a few years ago, from its original site on Avery street.
