Marietta College High in the Rankings

It's the time of year when college and university rankings come out, and Marietta College has received yet another high honor.

The U.S. News and World Report has ranked it number two among the top regional colleges and universities in the Midwest. That's up four spots from last year.

Marietta College officials say although rankings aren't everything, it's always nice for the school to be recognized.

"There's a little pride that comes with it. You do want to be ranked high. It's a morale boost for people who work here, it's a morale boost for students, it's a boost for the alumni. Everybody sort of enjoys being up there," Tom Perry, executive director of college relations, said.
