The final participant in the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival has set sail down the river.

A few dozen people gathered in Marietta to bid farewell to the crew members of the LST-325 early Wednesday morning.

The LST is an American ship used in the second half of the 20th Century during a few prominent wars, and had been docked in Marietta for the weekend's Sternwheel Festival.

The ship is now heading back to Evansville, Indiana, the place it calls home.
