The Mid-Ohio Valley Airport's newest carrier took its inaugural flight Friday morning along with a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the carriers arrival.
Local city officials along with airport management all gathered at the airport to celebrate
Gulfstream Air will be flying to its hub in Cleveland four times each weekday.
Airport manager Terry Moore says he's excited to see the positive impact the new carrier will have on the economy of the Mid Ohio Valley.
"They had the type of frequency we had previously, it's going to a good location,Contintental has good so far and we've done more with them in past couple of weeks than we've done with the previous airfares.. so I'm excited about the new service.. so let's give it a go," said Moore.
The new carrier will fly twice to Cleveland on Saturdays and Sundays.
