The recent flooding has kept a lot of people busy the past two weeks, but has it affected voter registration?
Two local election officials say it has not.
Wood County clerk Jamie Six says registration is still running as expected for a presidential election year, and that's also true in Washington County.
"We've actually had some people who have been displaced by the flood changing their addresses," says Washington County Board of Elections director, Becky Kirkbride. "We've had a couple of those in here."
The elections board office in Marietta will be open until 9 p.m. Monday night for people wanting to register before the Ohio deadline.
The deadline for registering in West Virginia is October 13.
