Company Behind in Workers Comp. Taxes

A business in Jackson County is in legal trouble for not paying their workers compensation taxes.

According to the Workers Compensation Commission, the Jackson County business is one of two in the state that are being sued because they owe a total of $282,500.

Scott Hartley, Robert Hartley, Roberta Hartley, Rodd Hartley and Philip Southall own a property transportation services and maintenance business in Jackson County that owes premiums, interest and penalties totaling $268,132.

The commission is asking the business cease operating until their debts are paid.
