The Wood County Commission Thursday morning oversaw a routine, but important task for next week's election.
The circuit clerk's office Thursday stored away next week's ballots, but they're not in the office itself.
Because there are a lot of issues and candidates, the number of ballot sheets is twice what they would normally be. They're being secured in a rented truck.
"I thought we'd be able to store them in the garage, that there would be enough room there," says Wood County Circuit Clerk Carole Jones. "I'd rather have them in my office, but there isn't enough room and this is the solution."
The Wood County ballot is four pages long with items on both sides of a page.
