It's not likely that criminal charges will result from Wednesday night's altercation involving an Edison Junior High School wrestler and coach.
Williamstown Police Chief B.D. Adkins told us Friday that he has spoken to coach Steve Allman and the wrestler's father, and neither of them want to pursue charges.
The incident happened when wrestler Austin Moss reacted angrily to losing a match and became involved in a scuffle with Allman, who had tried to restrain him.
The junior high school quad meet was held at Williamstown High School, and Williamstown's principal and athletic director ended it after they broke up the scuffle.
Edison school officials were still conducting their own investigation to determine whether they'd take any disciplinary action against Moss or Allman.
