Lifting Up the Mess

Marietta is no longer in a state of emergency, but don't go and hop in the car just yet.

Police are still ticketing motorists who ignore road closed signs and officials ask that you avoid the downtown area so business owners can continue the cleanup.

If you need help cleaning up you can contact Community Action at 740-373-4745, or call that number if you'd like to volunteer to help.

They're also delivering flood recovery supplies door to door until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Emergency Operations Center wrapped up its help Monday morning, but the Emergency Management Agency continues to answer calls from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
