A family of four gets into an accident while traveling from Duke University back home to the Cleveland area.
Troopers with the West Virginia Sate Police say it happened Friday evening on Pond Creek Road in Rockport.
The father was driving the car when he told troopers he was coughing and possibly blacked out. He then drove over the entrance ramp on 77 Northbound landing on the road below.
The father and his 14 year old son were both taken to Camden Clark Medical Center and are now released.
The mother and her daughter were taken by helicopter to Charleston area hospitals. The mother is undergoing non-life threatening surgery, and the daughter has been released.
No citations will be issued.
It happened Friday evening on Pond Creek Road in Rockport.
West Virginia State Troopers say the car was traveling Northbound on 77 when it went over the entrance ramp landing on the road below.
The driver is okay but three people were taken to the hospital and one of them was taken by helicopter.
The extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
The West Virginia State Police are investigating the accident.
