The West Virginia Interstate Fair & Expo starts Tuesday and getting there may be a problem for some.
Fair president, Mike Zoller, says the DOH told him the construction on one part of Route 14 should be completed by late tonight. DOH also confirmed that to WTAP..
With over 40 thousand people expected for the week and weekend, Zoller recommends to prepare ahead of time.
"We create traffic which is a good thing. It's a good thing and it's a bad thing. I say all the time that everybody gets off work and decides at 5:00 to come to the fair. We're here all day long, every day for the next five days. If we can get people out early that will help. We can deal with the cars when they get here, we can park. It's not a problem. Most of the time we have Butcher Bend clear, it's the traffic issues ahead of us that have been causing us problems the last several years."
"I told them that we were looking at 40 thousand people through here in the next five days. It's gonna create a mess not only for us but for them as well. I'm hoping that they'll get it ironed out, " Zoller adds.
