While security is a concern nationwide, Washington County residents are on their way to being a little bit safer Thursday.
911 Director Mike Cullums says testing of the enhanced 911 system is almost done and is right on track.
All areas except for Bartlett and Chesterhill have been checked, and almost all the test calls coming through have displayed the correct address and other information.
If everything goes as planned, the enhanced system will be on line before it's official debut on July 27.
