Area attractions, unique shops, special events, restaurants, visitor services and updated full-color maps.
The 2014 visitors guide to Greater Parkersburg is now available.
Mark Lewis, executive director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau says it's a great resource for people looking for information about the area.
He says one of the things that really stands out is the unique history and heritage story we have to tell here in Parkersburg.
“With our museums, with our attractions, with the Julian Square Historic District,” he says. “I think that's one of our real strong suits as far as tourism goes and I think our guide does a great job of outlining that story.”
According to Lewis, the 2013 guide received an international MarCom Award for creative excellence.
They're proud of the 2014 guide and hope it's an award-winning piece too.
