Kidsfest A Success

There were plenty of free games, entertainment, food, and fun for hundreds of kids at City Park Saturday.

The Liberty Street Church of God and Baptist Temple organize Kidsfest each year. Each church donates a thousand dollars to make it possible.

"I like going underneath the water balloons, those are fun," said 9 year old Brittany Daugherty.

"Having fun, hanging out with my friends and stuff, and getting wet," said 13 year old Isaiah Headley.

Nancy Harrell the coordinator Kidsfest said "our purpose to do this is to introduce kids to Jesus Christ in a new and exciting way."

The day ended with a performance by a group of Christian weightlifters "G Force."

They perform feats of strength like bending iron and then mix in their Christian testimony in the show.
