Students are back in class as of 2:40 pm following Wednesday's bomb threat at Parkersburg High School.
Wood County's 911 Center received the bomb threat call at approximately 1:00 pm Wednesday. This was the third bomb threat in three days targeting Parkersburg High School.
One person is under arrest in connection with Tuesday's bomb threat. That arrest was made within six hours after that threat was phoned in to the 911 Center.
Sue Woodward, the public relations person for Wood County Schools, tells WTAP-TV that students Wednesday were NOT sent home. Students congregated in Stadium Field while authorities searched the school for a possible bomb.
WTAP will pass along updates as we receive them on WTAP.com, as well as WTAP at Five and WTAP News at Six.
