A One Stop Shop for Living Healthy

Body aches, hearing loss and false teeth; all the unpleasant parts of getting older.

But fortunately all of these problems have solutions, you just have to find them.

That was the cause behind a Choice Expo that's a one stop shop for senior citizens or anybody who's looking to prepare for a healthy future.

Paul and Becky Young say they're as healthy as can be, so they're taking measures to make sure they stay that way.

"We are at the age of going in to being seniors and there's a lot of things that you just don't know about, and this is a good place to learn," Paul said.

The Choice Expo is an event designed to help senior citizens or those who may be anticipating health problems with age.

"We've seen that people really need help planning for a healthier, wealthier, wiser lifestyle, and that's what we're offering here," Mindy Cayton, the event coordinator, said.

Care giving, home health and various health tests are just some of the many resources offered.

"One of the new things I learned was a new program that's in the state of Ohio to help protect seniors from identity and medical theft and insurance theft," Becky Young said.

But the real steal in the room was all the free information.

"My parents went through this several years ago. I wish i would have had the information at that time. There are just a lot of agencies here," Shirley Williams said.

Hundreds of agencies from around the state, all hoping serve as many people as possible in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

If you didn't get a chance to check out the expo Wednesday, you can catch it tomorrow at the Comfort Inn in Marietta from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
