Washington County Remains Under Level 1 Snow Advisory

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks has issued a Level 1 Snow Advisory.

Authorities say roadways are snow covered and icy. Drive carefully.

Level One is the lowest advisory level possible, and is issued when roads are slippery and snow-covered.

There are two higher levels that might restrict traffic, but Ohio sheriffs have not issued those emergency level announcements.

Not all Ohio sheriffs issue such travel restrictions, as major employers in smaller rural counties may have problems getting employees to report on time.

West Virginia Legislators have not authorized their Sheriff's to make such decisions for travel conditions.
