Officials in Washington County are preparing to take office for the new term.
The swearing in ceremonies began Friday morning with returning prosecuting attorney Jim Schneider.
Schneider worked as a lawyer and assistant prosecuting attorney before serving his first term as prosecuting attorney.
He says the experience he gained in his first term helped prepare him for another.
"I think I've learned to be calmer. The other thing I keep learning on a day to day basis is to delegate more responsibility within my office. I need to still work on that because I tend to take on too much on my own," Schneider said.
Other officials sworn in Friday include new commissioners Cora Marshall and Steve Weber, county recorder Tracy Wright and county clerk Brenda Wolfe.
