More Jobs Could Be Leaving The Mid-Ohio Valley

A long-time warehouse and distribution company in Vienna could be closing down.

Goldsmit-Black is in negotiations with an outside company which would buy the company.

Nelson Graham, Regional Coordinator with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, says the purchase is expected to result in 32 union members losing their jobs.

Graham says the union is scheduled to meet with Goldsmit-Black Wednesday to discuss a severance package involving benefits, although he adds the union hopes to discuss ways for the company to remain in operation.

Company officials have declined to comment on the situation.
