An investigation continues to find missing files from the Washington County commissioner's office.
Authorities are currently looking through the documents retrieved when searching the homes of former commissioners Larry Steinel and John Grimes.
Sheriff Larry Mincks said the search started when the current commissioners discovered the hard-drives of several county-owned computers had been erased.
"There are guidelines for retention of records and destruction of public records that you have to follow, and you aren't permitted to just wipe out a computer," Sheriff Mincks said.
When the investigation is complete, Steinel and Grimes could face several charges including theft and vandalism.
