Some of the discussion involving a warren local schools bond issue has little to do with the issue itself.
The $9.7 million bond levy voters will consider on November 4 funds the building of new schools and renovation of old ones, but the company overseeing the project was also involved in the recent renovation of frontier schools' buildings, where some construction flaws have been found.
"We have hired Quandel as a construction supervisor. We realize they've been in the paper recently on a variety of issues, we understand that. The construction contractor has yet to be decided," says Bob Scott.
The board of education is holding a meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon to discuss hiring a construction firm for the project.
