Students in the Marietta school district have been working for months to show the community that education is more than just text books and study guides.
Every school in the Marietta district will be featured in the fine arts festival, which takes place this Thursday at Marietta High School.
Hundreds of artworks will be on display while bands and choirs fill the auditorium with music.
Elementary music teacher, Michael Tobar, says his group of students love to perform and show off all their hard work.
"I just sort of have to direct them. I don't really have to kick them in the bottom to motivate them at all. They're right up there doing that themselves, and all I have to do is guide them and keep them contained a little bit," Tobar said.
The event goes from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and admission is free.
