Gov. Bob Wise's answer to questions about his political future can be summed up in three words, "let's move on."

His response to reports that he's not running for re-election, is our top story.

A Republican Party news release and a statewide radio news network have both said Gov. Wise had decided he would leave office after one term.

Speaking to reporters this morning, wise shrugged off the reports, and said he's made no decision.

“I think this is the silliest discussion I've had in my life. When I walk down the street, I don't have people running up to me saying, 'Hey Bob, what are you doing about your future?' What I'm hearing is, 'What are you doing about OUR future?’ What I'm hearing is, 'What are you doing about education, about health care, what are you doing about job creation?’” explains Wise.

The governor was in Vienna to address the state Volunteer Firefighters Association Annual Convention.

He told the organization the state is considering using proceeds from license plate revenues to benefit volunteer organizations.
