An expansion of the Parkersburg Art Center is a step closer to reality.
Supporters announced Wednesday afternoon that they've finalized the sale of a former Parkersburg night spot, located next door to the arts center.
That deal, which came with some assistance from state government officials, would result in additional space for the center's arts and education programs.
“The Senate, the House and Governor's office have all come through with 30% donations. In addition, the McDonough Foundation has awarded $10,000,” says Greg Smith.
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital has purchased the property on behalf of the arts center. The property will be renovated for the center's expansion.
