A former licensed physician in Marietta, accused of prescribing pain killers to patients who didn't need them, reached a plea agreement in court Monday.
Doctor Pedrito Galupo pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted illegal processing of drug documents.
Washington County Prosecutor, Jim Schneider, says Galupo has been put on a two year probation and will pay a fine of more than two-thousand dollars.
Galupo also agreed to surrender more than $22,000 to the Washington County Sheriff's office from an account that was frozen during the search warrant last summer.
He also agreed to not seek a medical license in the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
