Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- For third month in a row, Huron County has a staggering unemployment rate and leads the state in joblessness.

The county in northwest Ohio had unemployment for march of 17.5 percent.

It's in a region that has seen heavy job losses in manufacturing, including the auto industry.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services released county and city jobless figures Tuesday.

On Friday, the agency said the statewide unemployment rate rose last month to 9.7 percent, a 25-year high.

Fast-growing Delaware County north of Columbus had last month's lowest county rate: 6.4 percent.

Among Ohio's largest cities, Youngstown had the highest unemployment for March, at 14 percent.

The Cleveland suburb of Mentor was lowest, at 7.2 percent.
