Birthdays are always an occasion to celebrate, but even more so when it's the birthday of someone turning 105.
Family and friends gathered Wednesday at Heartland of Marietta Nursing Home to celebrate Arminta Lee's 105th birthday.
Lee's daughter, Helen Kehl, says her mother was raised on a farm, where she learned the secret to living a long and healthy life.
"Leading a good life, that's what she told me. She never drank, never smoked, she just worked hard," Kehl said.
After eating some birthday cake, the party moved outside where Heartland's staff planted a tree in front of the nursing home in honor of Lee and Earth Day.
