Thursday's fire was not the first time fire fighters have fought a blaze at the Ohio Oil Gathering Company's storage facility in Newport.
This is video from Newport, Ohio, when the facility burned for more than two hours on the night of May 26, 1994.
That time the fire was ignited by a direct lightning strike to a 1,000 gallon storage tank.
More than a dozen fire departments battled that blaze which burned at more than 2,000 degrees.
There were also 2 other similar incident at this same storage facility, once in 1986 and 1987, both times with the site being struck by lightning.
