The Campus Martius Museum in Marietta is working to keep its doors open, and keep local history alive.
Officials at the museum tell us the state has cut back on funding, and if they don't receive more funding by the end of June, it will have to temporarily close down.
Officials are also asking the community to show its support for the museum by attending a "This Place Matters" rally Friday at 4 p.m.
"It's not just for Marietta. This is for the whole country, because it's the Northwest Territory. So, don't close us down, come support us. Come support us and keep us open, LeAnn Hendershot, the museum's interim manager, said.
The Campus Martius Museum is still looking for a partnership that would help fund the museum as well.
