Two youngsters from our area could soon be among America's prettiest babies. They're entered in a national contest, which takes place in Texas in November.
Seven-month-old Selena, from Marietta, and 19-month-old Alicia, from Parkersburg, are entered in different categories.
"They kept telling us she was real cute, and we put her in the pageant, and she won among the kids in her age group," says Rebecca Stewart.
The West Virginia family whose granddaughter won came to me, and said I ought to sign her up for the pageant," says Peggy Williams.
Both mothers have been raising money at the Washington County Fair for the national pageant. They both need to raise $3,000 to make the trip to Texas.
