This year's primary and special elections have come and gone, but the votes for a certain levy were a little too close for comfort, and so a recount has been ordered.
Washington County is one of nine Ohio counties that voted on the Mid-East Career and Technology Centers levy.
The levy passed by just 40 votes out of more than 14,000.
If it still passes after the recount, it will allow tax money to be spent on permanent improvements over the next ten years.
Washington County only had 29 votes on the issue, and officials are in the process of recounting them Tuesday evening.
The other eight counties are expected to have the recount finished sometime this week.
