What Makes Prized Livestock??
The West Virginia Interstate Fair is full of many events and competitions.
Thursday night the prized animals of the livestock competition were auctioned to the highest bidder.
A lot of time and hard work go into raising livestock. So what does it take to make your animal better than the rest?
4-H and FFA club members spent weeks getting these animals ready for auction.
Most of the animals are bought by businesses, but event is much more than a cattle call.
Many of these people are buying these animals for more than just bragging rights. Animals like this are being sold anywhere from $1 to $2 a pound.
