Despite recent rainy weather, the construction for the Washington Street Bridge in Marietta is still on schedule.
Public Information Officer David Rose, with the Ohio Department of Transportation, says crews are in their second week of construction on the bridge.
Rose says everything is still on schedule, and if all goes well, the bridge will be completely revamped by the end of the sixty day construction period.
He also says this maintenance will add at least another 40 to 50 years to the structure.
