A two-year-old boy remains in critical condition after an accident last night that killed his mother.
Authorities say Katrina Seevers died after her car was hit head-on Thursday night on route-seven between Newport and Reno.
Her son, two-year-old Zachary, was airlifted to children's hospital in Columbus.
Nineteen-year-old Jason Cordial of Greensburg, Pennsylvania were passengers in cordial's car. Was driving the car that police say went left of center and hit the Seevers.
Eighteen-year-old Aaron Marks and 19-year-old Scott Rayburg were in cordials car at the time of the accident, they were both from Greensburg as well.
All three were taken to Marietta memorial hospital to be treated, and a short time later Rayburg was airlifted to another hospital.
In the other mishap, 48-year-old Betty Jane Slayton of Fayetteville was heading west on u.s. route 50.
Near the intersection of 50 and Route 31 authorities say Slayton drifted into the median over to the east bound lanes back to the median back to the west bound lanes back to the median where her jeep flipped two times before coming to rest on the driver's side.
During the crash Slayton was ejected from her vehicle Apparently because she was not wearing a seat belt.
Authorities add Slayton may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The accidents remain under investigation.
