At Friday’s Pleasants County Board of Education meeting a representative of the State Board of Education presented plaques the two school principals. They were for reaching outstanding academic achievements in light of some students being economically disadvantaged.
In other Board of Education news, the board approved a request from the city of Belmont for a water well location at Belmont Elementary School. They well will provide an alternative source for water if the current source should get contaminated. The project is expected to take place during Thanksgiving break.
