As the unemployment rate continues to rise, many laid off workers, and people in need of a job are hitting the road, and going to truck driving school.
Administrators at the Ohio Valley Truck Driver Training School say they've seen an increase in the number of students getting behind the wheel.
Students say it's a job that will take them many places, and most importantly, it's a fast, easy way to get back in the work force.
"I decided to go with trucking because I can go to training for five weeks, and at the end of that hopefully get out and get a job making between $35,000 to $40,000 a year my first year," Charlene Vanhorn, a student, said.
Administrators say the courses cost about $5,000, and that truck driving jobs are still in high demand.
