Staying Cool, Even When it's HOT!

Belly flops, fun, and sun. The Southwood Pool's cool water jets were working overtime Friday afternoon. They kept hundreds of energetic kids cool on a day when temperatures were just shy of record highs.

Area kids say the best part of spending time at the pool is the chance they get to hang out with their friends.

Another way to beat the heat is with a little ice cream, and kids aren't the only one's who like an icy treat.

Peggy Flinn, who works at the Dairy Queen says, adults were the days biggest customers, she says they like a little treat too.
