The Wood County visitors and Convention Bureau wants to give the Mid-Ohio Valley a big promotional push.
The bureau has received $912,000 for a 2004 ad-campaign.
The campaign is co-sponsored by the bureau along with Fenton Glass and 30 other area businesses.
Bureau president Steve Nicely says that, when matched with local money, it should get the word out about the Mid-Ohio Valley to would-be tourists across the country.
Nicely says efforts are under way to raise the matching money.
