Flood Cleanup

From Marietta to Beverly to New Matamoras, people are trying to remove the mess mother nature left them.

The Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross has already distributed about a third of the more than 100 cleaning kits it has on hand.

Those kits include cleaning staples, including brooms, mops and bleach necessary to clean and disinfect homes.

Ed Reno, Disaster Chairman says, “We've identified some people who need some serious cleaning in their houses, basements, garages, utility areas and so forth, that need to be cleaned up, and living areas.”

The Red Cross provided housing for 27 families during the flood, basically those who were unable to find shelter with friends or relatives.
