Our bodies have the ability to heal on their own, and St. Joseph's Hospital hosted a forum on this power Saturday.
Heading up the presentation was the founder of the "Wholistic Wellness Network", a national non-profit organization which explains the body's own healing powers.
The foundation wants to teach people about personal wellness and treating illnesses with more than just medical treatments.
"We need to focus on prevention of illnesses, not just the symptoms," says founder Dr. Henri Roca III.
The foundation has its roots in West Virginia. It began in Huntington seven years ago, and now has chapters in four states.
