New Habitat for Humanity Restore in Progress

Habitat for Humanity builds new houses for low-income citizens, but it takes donations to help get the walls up.

One way of receiving those donations is through the Habitat for Humanity Restore.

The Wood County Habitat Restore was scheduled to be moved into a new building on 7th street by mid September, but officials say some unexpected problems with the building have put crews a little behind schedule.

"It's taking a little longer than we thought, but we're trying to do things right the first time and make it a pleasurable shopping experience for our customers when they come in," Greg Halterman, Habitat Restore Manager, said.

Halterman says they've made some major updates to the building, and are hoping for it to be open by mid to late October.
