The hospital announced Tuesday that designation was given to Strecker by the American College of Surgeons.
The cancer center has been in operation since the 1990's, and has had one expansion.
There's also evidence it's been successful in helping patients recover from cancer.

Osbourne says there are still services, such as bone marrow transplants, for which patients would have to be referred to hospitals in other cities.
