Bureau of Criminal Identification agent Robert Setzer did the analysis work on the computer files seized from Anderson's office.
Setzer was questioned about the files, the images found in them, and CD-ROM disks on which they were copied.
“Attorney: Is there any evidence as to when that image was placed on the CD?
Agent: No, sir.
Attorney: Where it was placed on the CD?
Agent: No, sir.
Attorney: Who placed it on the CD?
Agent: No, sir.
Attorney: Whether Dr. Anderson placed it on the CD?
Agent: No, sir.
Attorney: Whether he looked at it or accessed it?
Agent: No, sir.”
The day was a short one. Prosecutors are seeking to present more evidence involving computer files into the case, and Judge Susan Boyer spent the afternoon researching to determine how much, if any, of that information can be presented.
Setzer also was questioned about the chat room conversation prosecutors say took place between Anderson and an 11-year-old boy from Belgium.
“Attorney: People in chatrooms lie, don't they?
Agent: Yes.
Attorney: And people exaggerate in chatrooms?
Agent: Yes.
Attorney: And sometimes in chatrooms, people will make believe they're someone they're not?
Agent: That happens.
Attorney: They role play; they lie about their age.
Agent: Could be.”
Agent Setzer says he also isn't sure a photograph of a child sent along with the chat is that of the participant.
Anderson faces 140 counts, including pandering obscenity and promoting prostitution.
